Who Are We
Ian is responsible for directing international events for Wave Energy Update. A University of London Graduate, when he’s not organising events for the Wave energy industry, Ian enjoys a range of outdoor sports including hiking, skiing, mountain biking.
A first class International Politics graduate with business experience in consumer electronics, communications and ICT, Abbie endeavours to bring business strategies, approaches and applications to the emerging Wave energy industry. Wave Energy Update is striving to be a global leader of conferences, media and information provision to the Wave energy industry. Abbie is in responsible for the future development and vision of Wave Energy Update.
Tom is a graduate of Newcastle University and recently joined Wave Energy Update after spending the last 2 years working in finance for a multinational consumer goods company. Tom has a passion for American Football, having played at an international standard (before he had his shoulder replaced), and can now be found coaching on Sundays and running the sport in the UK as a member of the board of directors. When not working or involved in AF, Tom can be found cooking or spending time with his fiancé and friends.!
Gargi organises well researched international events for Wave Energy Today. As a Warwick Business School graduate, Gargi endeavours to create great marketplace opportunities for businesses in the Wave Energy industry.
Paul joined Wave Energy Update as part of his Business & Marketing Management Bsc at Oxford Brookes University, and has underpinned his academic knowledge with a firm understanding of marketing in various industries, especially Wave energy. When he is not raising the profile of Wave Energy Update events, Paul enjoys driving his motorbike and supporting the best football team in the world (Arsenal!)
Stevie is in charge of our Client Relations for Wave Energy Update. She joined from their holding company First Conferences, where she has worked for 4 years. Originally from South Africa she is trained in Graphic Design & DTP Operations. She enjoys travelling around Europe and spending quality time with friends and family.
Michael Setters is Managing Director of the Renewable Energy Division at First Conferences and is responsible for overseeing the development of industry news portals and conferences in industries including Wave, Solar (CSP, CPV and Thin Film), Energy Efficiency, Smart Grids, DR & DSM, Wave and Tidal.
Michael enjoys sports (when not recovering from his latest injury!), reading, travelling and spending time with friends.
